DISTRIBUTION CENTER WITH STATE-OF-THE-ART LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS
PRIMARK® has built a new distribution center of over 30,000 m2 and is operational 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday), 24 hours a day. From Roosendaal all PRIMARK® stores in South-West Europe are supplied with the latest fashion trends. The distribution center in Roosendaal has 20 meter high automatic cranes, AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), Monorail system, pallet transport systems, WMS software and a new fully equipped workshop. To ensure that the systems and processes run smoothly, SSI SCHAEFER is deploying a team of mechatronics technicians. Driven specialists with a passion for safety are performing preventative maintenance. Both mechanical and electronic. They solve any malfunctions immediately and are constantly working to further improve the logistics processes.
WAMAS® FOR THE INTERNAL LOGISTIC PROCESS
To control and optimize the logistics processes, PRIMARK®'s distribution center is equipped with a warehouse management system (WMS). This WMS was developed by SSI SCHAEFER itself and is called WAMAS®. This standard logistics software system links all the internal logistics components into one intelligent WMS. A professional helpdesk assists engineers in optimising faults on the high-tech cranes and AGVs.
